How to play Make 24

  1. Click or tap a number tile, choose an operator (+, −, ×, ÷), then click or tap a second tile to merge the pair into one new value.
  2. Use Undo to take back one move, Reset to restart the current puzzle, Hint for a three-stage nudge (pair, then operator, then full solution), and New Puzzle for a fresh deal.

First move

Look for an easy product first—if two tiles multiply toward 24 (like 8 × 3), merge them and see whether the remaining tiles can finish the job.

Practical tip

Do not fear fractions: dividing can produce exact intermediate values like 8/3, and the classic hard puzzle 3, 3, 8, 8 is only solvable through them (8 ÷ 3 = 8/3, 3 − 8/3 = 1/3, 8 ÷ 1/3 = 24).
